My dear friend Laura, my childhood friend.
My soul friend. The girl I lived 6 feet from when I was living in Auroville, India.
Amazing soul.

What was your favorite recent gift?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for June 10, 2007:

A beautiful home in Hill, NH where I'm housesitting for the summer. Gardens, fields, forests, a cat, a fun challenging job, and time to explore life, read, and ponder nature, culture and the kosmos. What does it mean to be a 23 year old male in the USA  in 2007? The gift is an enviornment to ask these questions, to retreat, and to give thanks.

At work in Boston - "By the Sea"

Posted on Nov 7th, 2006 by Yesah : Life Apprentice Yesah
Hi,
Wow, I've never done a blog entry before in my life.
Here we go.
This is going to be short because I'm at work.
I wonder if anyone will read this someday...

So, I want to share what I found on a Celestial Seasonings tea box just now:

"By the Sea" by Joan Anderson:

I must live a little each day, greet the sun as it rises and revel in its setting, swim naked, sip coffee and wine by the shore, generate new ideas, admire myself, talk to animals, meditate, laugh, risk adventures. I must try to be soft, not hard; fluid not rigid, tender, not cold; find rather than seek. I have been embraced by the sea, tested by its elements, emptied of anxiety, cleansed with fresh thought. In the process, I have recovered myself."

I don't agree with it in entirety, but I really liked it so I thought I'd try posting it here for whoever might stumble on it. In this case, you. Whoever you are.

Until next time,

noah
